At Eriskay, we take our customers safety seriously.
As such, all of of our candles and products are tested thoroughly. Below you will find information on how to get the best performance from our candles and the relevant safety information for each scent.
CANDLE CARE
Did you know that wax has a burn memory?
* When you light your candle for the first time, we recommend that you burn your candle for a minimum of 2-3 hours or until the melt pool has reached the edge of the container, allowing you candle to fully melt with an even melt pool. By doing this, you will ensure that your candle does not tunnel. Allowing a full melt pool, will allow optimum fragrance release.

* Relighting your candle - Trim your wick to around 5mm. This will allow a brighter, cleaner burn each time and avoid 'mushrooming' which makes your candle burn quicker and creates soot building up. Using a wick trimmer is best, as they are specially designed to cut candle wicks and avoid small pieces of soot getting stuck in your candle. We recommend our wick trimmers as they are specifically designed for this purpose.

* Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time

* Allow your candle to rest for 2 hours between each burn
​
* Do not allow your candle to burn to the base of the container. Leave approximately 1cm of wax on the base. Once cooled completely, this can be removed and used in a wax burner.
​
* Re-cycle your container. We have chosen your candle vessel with re-cycling in mind. Use as a vase, pen holder, plant pot, trinket pot, herb container, toothbrush holder - the list is endless. You can even gift it to a friend!
